Our Roots

Founded by brothers Austin and Craig Pauly, Pauly Veterinary Services was built on a lifelong passion for caring for animals and a strong work ethic, values they developed growing up on a dairy farm in nearby Conway Springs.

After years in practice, they chose to open their own family-owned clinic in Wichita, KS, to provide advanced, affordable veterinary medicine without the corporate feel, where pets and their people always come first.

Pauly’s Patients

Austin Pauly, DVM

Dr. Austin Pauly earned his Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University, graduating in 2018. Since then, he has spent his career in mixed animal practice, caring for both small animals and cattle.

Austin provides comprehensive veterinary care across nearly every aspect of small animal medicine and surgery. He enjoys diving into complex cases and working closely with pet owners and his colleagues to develop the best treatment plans for patients. For him, the best part of veterinary medicine is that no two days are the same, and every pet presents a new opportunity to problem-solve and improve quality of life.

In his free time, Austin enjoys grilling and smoking meat, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife, Jessica, and their three children. He is also an avid K-State and KC Chiefs fan, and enjoys volunteering for their local school and church organizations. The Pauly family’s beloved pets include their dog, Dixie, and three cats, Crane, Popsicle, and Sunflower.

Craig Pauly, DVM, MS

Dr. Craig Pauly brings 15 years of veterinary experience to Pauly Veterinary Services. He earned his Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Pittsburg State University before completing both his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Science at Kansas State University. His master’s research focused on pain mitigation, an area that continues to influence his approach to patient care.

He began his career as a mixed animal practitioner in Great Bend, Kansas, before dedicating the next 14 years to advancing his work in upstate New York. There, he served 12 years as a partner in a large, four-location veterinary company, transitioning from mixed animal medicine to exclusively small animal care, providing routine and advanced services.

Craig’s professional interests include routine and advanced soft tissue surgery, oncology and chemotherapy, orthopedics, reproductive medicine, pain and arthritis management, and radiology. His favorite aspects of being a veterinarian are interacting with clients and patients, offering a wide range of treatment options to help pets in need, and helping senior pets maintain a good quality of life. His goal is always to combine advanced medicine with practical, compassionate care.

During his time off, he enjoys watching, playing, and attending sporting events of all kinds, especially football, as well as hunting, fishing, hiking, and spending time outdoors. He is also an active volunteer within his church and local community.

Molly (McGuire) Pauly, DVM

Dr. Molly (McGuire) Pauly received her Bachelor of Science from Indiana State University in 2007 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University in 2011. With 15 years of experience in small animal practice, she has dedicated her career to caring for dogs and cats, along with the occasional small exotic pet.

Her professional interests include preventive medicine, senior pet care, pain and arthritis management, dermatology, anesthesia, and soft tissue surgery. During veterinary school, Molly spent time interning at zoos in Omaha, Oregon, and Indianapolis, and she maintains an interest in expanding exotic animal services as community needs grow.

Dr. Molly loves meeting new families and their pets and values the relationships built through years of care. She appreciates the active, hands-on nature of veterinary medicine and the daily challenges that keep her learning and growing.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Craig, and their children, Lyla, Anella, and Bo. Molly loves hiking, kayaking, campfires, and traveling to new places. She also enjoys watching and attending sporting events (football, especially), reading, being active in the church, and doing puzzles. Their family pets include a labradoodle, Stoney, and two tuxedo cats, Rooster and Big Jake.

Faith

Faith grew up in Derby and moved to Wichita after marrying her husband, Luke.  She graduated from WSU Tech with an associate’s degree in Veterinary Nursing in 2022 and became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2023.

Her favorite part of being a vet tech is that there are many different aspects to the job, such as lab work, monitoring anesthesia, dental cleanings, taking X-rays, client education, etc.

She owns a variety of pets, including 2 dogs, 3 cats, guinea pigs, goldfish, a pigeon, and many chickens. Outside of work, Faith enjoys gardening, houseplants, drawing, crafting, but most of all, spending time with her husband and two daughters.

Lea

Lea, one of our Veterinary Technicians, graduated from the Colorado Academy of Veterinary Technology in 2014. She enjoys the general practice side of veterinary medicine the most, caring for patients year after year and watching them grow while building family-like relationships with them.

Outside of the clinic, Lea is usually curled up at home with her cat, Tybalt, reading a good book. She can also be found snowboarding, hiking, traveling, or catching up on her latest Netflix obsession.

Lisa Holland

Lisa Holland is new to Veterinary Services but has been in the clinical setting for almost 20 years with many different titles and duties.  Her title of CSR allows her to enjoy being the first one to meet the patients and clients as they come through the front door.  Her favorite part is being the first and the last one to get all the kisses and luv’ns from the patients.

Lisa grew up in Viola but has lived in Conway Springs for almost 40 years with her husband Mitch.  They have two children, six grandchildren, two dogs, two cats, and three chickens.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and traveling with her husband when they get a chance.  A fun fact about Lisa is that since 1993 (per Cierra) she’s had:

    • Dogs-12

    • Cats-8

    • Chickens-6

    • Horses-2

    • (She did not mention the hermit crabs or the guinea pigs…lol)

Mallory

Mallory is a senior at Cheney High School. After graduation, she plans on attending Kansas State University’s Early Admission Veterinary Medicine Program. She also plans to major in Animal Science. Her favorite part about her job is learning about all aspects of veterinary medicine. She enjoys getting to see the different surgeries performed at the clinic.

During the school year, she participates in FFA, Spanish Club, Student Council, cross country, track, and choir. Outside of the clinic she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and her family dog Coco. She likes to fill her free time by working out and curling up reading a good book.

Sarah

Sarah graduated from WSU Tech with her associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology in 2018. She is also pursuing her Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Technology online at St. Petersburg College. She enjoys anesthesia, emergency medicine, caring for hospitalized patients and is an advocate of the human-animal bond. She can’t wait to meet you and your pets!

Outside of work, she enjoys listening to music, particularly Taylor Swift, spending time with her family, her boyfriend, and her boyfriend’s family, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, Royals, Jayhawks, and binge-watching Netflix with her adorable Pitbull, Mia, and her two cats, Sloan and Violet.
